Investigation Ongoing After Guard Kills Fellow Guard in Jharkhand
In Chatra district, Jharkhand, police are probing a homicide that occurred on Tuesday close to the Superintendent of Police quarters. The deceased, Atul Singh from Buxar, was a private security officer serving the household of Rocky Yadav, the son of MLA Monorama Devi. His colleague, Balwinder Singh, also a guard in the same unit, allegedly opened fire during a heated exchange.
Balwinder Singh was arrested on the spot and is currently held in custody. The forensic unit collected shell casings, fingerprints, and other evidence from the crime scene. Additionally, a four‑wheeler belonging to a construction firm based in Gaya was impounded to ascertain its relevance to the event.
The police have dispatched the body for an autopsy and are examining whether the altercation was triggered by a trivial matter that spiraled out of control. The case is being treated as a murder and will be pursued until all responsible parties are identified and charged.
