Inspection Tour Leads to Accelerated Hospital Upgrades in Ramgarh District

The Deputy Commissioner’s on‑site inspection on Wednesday covered three key health installations in Ramgarh: the trauma centre at Patel Chowk, the ongoing urban primary health centre project, and the district’s Sadar Hospital. Each site was evaluated for infrastructure readiness, equipment adequacy, and construction progress.

At the trauma centre, officials were instructed to finalize all pending formalities and initiate patient services within fifteen days, aiming to deliver prompt care for road‑traffic injury victims. The DC also demanded that the urban PHC’s construction accelerate, urging the contractor to complete the building swiftly and hand it over to health officials for immediate operation.

The visit to Sadar Hospital included a review of a development blueprint submitted after a recent health secretary’s visit. Based on the growing demand for emergency care, the DC ordered the emergency ward’s capacity to be expanded to twenty beds, with a focus on strengthening service delivery, enhancing staffing, and ensuring the ward meets modern emergency standards.
