Industry Secretary Shri Arwa Rajkaml visited the Jharkhand Pavilion along with pavilions of various states at India Text 2026
Industry Secretary Shri Arwa Rajkaml said that the state government aims to link traditional products to global value chains and ensure new business opportunities for local artisans and MSME units. Events like India Text play a crucial role in this direction. He made these remarks while touring the Jharkhand pavilion on the closing day of India Text 2026 organised in New Delhi. He observed and praised the GI‑tagged products, Tassar silk, hand‑loom and tribal handicrafts displayed at the Jharkhand pavilion. The Tassar silk exhibited at the Jharkhand pavilion showcases the pride of thousands of rural and tribal families. The garments, stoles, scarves and home‑decor items made from Tassar silk received special appreciation at the global textile event. Jharkhand is among the leading Tassar‑producing states and thousands of rural and tribal families are engaged in this industry. The state government is continuously working to connect GI‑tag products, Tassar, bamboo‑based enterprises and tribal art with national and global markets, providing better market access and livelihood opportunities for local artisans and craftsmen. India Text 2026, a global platform, provided Jharkhand’s MSMEs, self‑help groups, weavers and women entrepreneurs with new business contacts and opportunities to expand export potential. More than 120 countries’ buyers and representatives participated in India Text 2026, and thousands of exhibitors showcased the latest product ranges in textiles, apparel and handicrafts. This global stage strengthened the prospects of new business opportunities for local artisans and entrepreneurs by effectively presenting the state’s traditional crafts and textile heritage to global buyers.
