IIIT Ranchi's Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Team Organizes Cyber Security Awareness Program at Malsiring School
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) team of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi organized a special awareness program on "Cyber Security Awareness" at the government school in Malsiring, a village adopted by the institute. The program aimed to educate school students about the safe and responsible use of digital mediums.
The program was initiated by Dr. Sandhir Kumar Singh, the coordinator of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. He made students aware of the importance of cyber security in today's digital age and emphasized the need for caution while using the internet and social media.
Subsequently, Dr. Roshan Singh, Dr. Ankita, and Dr. Rishikesh Dutt Tiwari interacted with the students, sharing information on various aspects of cyber security. They provided simple and practical suggestions on topics such as protecting personal information, using strong passwords, responsible use of social media, preventing online fraud, and identifying cybercrimes. During the program, students enthusiastically asked questions and actively participated in the discussion.
Prof. Rajeev Srivastava, Director of IIIT Ranchi, appreciated the initiative, stating that knowledge of cyber security is extremely essential for students in the digital age. He praised the efforts of the institute's Unnat Bharat Abhiyan team and encouraged them to continue such public awareness programs.
Through this program, IIIT Ranchi made a meaningful effort to increase digital literacy and cyber security awareness in rural areas. The institute is continuously working under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan to connect with society and promote education, awareness, and the dissemination of technical knowledge.
