IIIT Ranchi's Team Naav-X Wins First Prize in Handi-X-2026 Organized by Jharkhand University of Technology

The student team Naav-X from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi has brought pride to the institution by securing the first prize in the Artificial Intelligence and Innovation category at Handi-X-2026, held on September 18 and 19 at Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi. As the first prize winner, the team won a cash prize of Rs 50,000. Talented student teams from various institutions across Jharkhand participated in the competition.

The Naav-X team comprised Shakti Kumar Suraj, Akshat Tanna, Rishik Maji, Akshat Goyal, and Krish Patidar. The team secured the first position through their innovative and effective presentation of technical solutions.

During the competition, participants were challenged to develop their ideas into practical and effective solutions within a limited timeframe. The Naav-X team demonstrated their technical prowess, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through various stages including brainstorming, solution development, technical refinement, and final presentation.

Prof. Rajiv Srivastava, Director of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi, congratulated all the students of Team Naav-X for their remarkable achievement and appreciated their efforts. He encouraged the students to continue progressing in the fields of innovation, research, and technological development and to bring new ideas to fruition. Dr. Dhiran Kumar Mahto, the team's mentor, played a significant role in this achievement. His guidance, continuous support, and encouragement were instrumental in the team's superior performance across the various stages of the competition. Dr. Roshan Singh, Chairman of the Institute's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell, also extended his best wishes to the team members for their success and appreciated their efforts.
