About 1,500 farmers from Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla and Ramgarh districts attended a pre-rabi Kisan Goshti held on the occasion. Farmers received inputs including nano urea, nano DAP, mineral mixture and seed kits of wheat, pea, mustard and vegetables, and attended sessions on FPOs, dairy, fruit crops, pest management, organic farming and lac cultivation.
Chouhan called the institute an important centre for research and self-reliance, urged farmers to combine traditional knowledge with modern methods, and praised scientists for taking technology from 'lab to land'.
