Home Guard Hiring Underway in Ramgarh; Traffic Curbs Through Nov 5
Ramgarh: The enrollment process for Home Guards under the Jharkhand Civil Defence Corps has entered its testing phase in Ramgarh. Physical efficiency and Hindi writing examinations began on Saturday and will continue at the Siddhu-Kanhu Ground till November 5, with proceedings starting each morning at 5 AM.
The district administration has rolled out wide-ranging preparations to address candidate convenience, security and traffic flow during the test days.
To assess readiness, Deputy Commissioner Rituraj and Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat conducted a joint visit to the Siddhu-Kanhu Ground. The officials examined counters at the examination centre, the running track, control room arrangements, parking areas, and both entry and exit gates.
Deployed administrative and police personnel have been briefed to ensure that the exam is conducted fairly, transparently and without any irregularities. Priority has also been given to providing drinking water and medical aid for candidates.
According to the official timetable, candidates from Dulmi block will take the test on October 24 and 25. Mandu candidates are scheduled for October 26 and 27, and Patratu candidates for October 28 and 29. Ramgarh block candidates will appear on October 30.
Gola candidates have been assigned October 31 and November 2, while Chitarpur candidates will take the exam on November 2. Urban non-technical candidates will be examined on November 3 and 4, and urban technical candidates on November 5.
To maintain smooth traffic conditions during the examination, heavy and commercial vehicles including goods carriers, trucks, tempos and large passenger vehicles will be barred daily from 3:30 AM to 9 PM from Saturday through November 5. This restriction covers the stretch between Kothar Chowk and Thana Chowk, and applies equally in the opposite direction.
The district administration has urged candidates to report on their scheduled dates and carry essential documents with them. Only candidates will be permitted at the venue, and carrying electronic equipment will not be allowed.
