High-Profile Impersonation: Fake SP Aide Steals Pink iPhone 16

A local mobile shop owner in Ramgarh has fallen victim to a clever ruse where a fraudster utilized the name of the district’s top police official to commit theft. The culprit, whose Truecaller ID displayed 'SP PA Office,' spent two days grooming the shop owner through frequent phone calls. By maintaining a professional tone and using a VIP phone number, the scammer convinced the retailer of his high-ranking connection. The owner, Dhirendra Kumar, dispatched his staff member, Raja Datta, to deliver the premium smartphone near the Ramgarh Court area. The suspect, waiting in a Swift Dzire with the registration number JH 01 DS 3268, produced a fake digital transaction receipt showing a successful transfer of Rs 69,000. It was only after the delivery was completed that the shop realized no money had entered their account. Police are now analyzing CCTV footage from the delivery location to identify the fraudster.
