A tragic incident unfolded in the Kharsawan police station area of the Seraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand. Four young men lost their lives after drowning in a dam. The accident occurred in Dalailala village, under the Kharsawan police station. The check dam, where the incident took place, turned into a site of mourning on Saturday. Six friends had gone to the check dam to swim.
While two friends stayed outside the dam, the other four jumped in. It’s suspected that upon entering the water, the four friends hit their heads on a large rock or slab present at the bottom of the dam, leading to their unconsciousness and subsequent drowning.
