Former JPSC chief arrested amid student agitation in Ranchi

The protest gained a new dimension when the CID detained former JPSC chairman L. Khiyangte from his home in Ranchi. The former head is under enquiry for allegedly taking bribes from the black‑listed TDPL agency in exchange for awarding examination contracts. The CID has already questioned him four times. This arrest came as students intensified calls for transparency, faster recruitment and strict action against officials suspected of manipulation in the exam process.
