Jharkhand Flying Institute and Venure sign MoU, agreement also with AISECT for Air Hostess training

Ranchi. Jharkhand is soon to become the first state in Eastern India where government-level Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) and Air Hostess training courses will be conducted. Following the initiative and guidance of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Jharkhand Flying Institute has completed preparations for the launch of these courses. The formal inauguration of both courses will be done by the Chief Minister on the occasion of the State Foundation Day in November. For the operation of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) course, the Jharkhand Flying Institute has signed an MoU with M/s Venure, a Delhi-based institution. Simultaneously, an agreement has been made with AISECT Limited, Bhopal, for Air Hostess training. These courses will be operated under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model on the infrastructure of the Jharkhand Flying Institute located in Dhanbad. According to the state government, the commencement of these courses will save youth from Jharkhand as well as neighboring states including Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh from having to travel to distant states for training in the aviation sector. This will save both time and money. 60 seats have been earmarked for the AME course. It will be a three-year course with a total fee of Rs 6 lakh. The fee will be payable in three annual installments of Rs 2 lakh each. Under Air Hostess training, two courses of six months and 12 months duration will be conducted. There will be 60 seats available in both. The fee for the six-month course has been set at Rs 1,00,500 and for the 12-month diploma course at Rs 1,55,500. This fee will include dress, grooming kit, and swimming training. The courses will commence after receiving permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The last date for application for Air Hostess training has been set as July 30. Interested candidates can apply through the Jharkhand Flying Institute's website. Captain S.P. Sinha, Managing Director of Jharkhand Flying Institute, said that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, all preparations have been completed with the objective of providing new opportunities to the state's youth in the aviation sector. He stated that the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Air Hostess training courses will prove to be a milestone for Jharkhand and will play an important role in producing skilled human resources for the aviation sector in the country.
