Dhanbad Police Engage Criminals, One Hurt in Shootout

In a significant crackdown on crime, Dhanbad police have successfully apprehended a notorious criminal following a fierce encounter. Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Tetulmari police station arrived at a secluded location near the Tilataad jungle's water plant early Tuesday morning. Suspecting criminal activity, officers approached the area. Upon noticing the police presence, an armed individual identified as Bhanu Manjhi, an associate of fugitive gangster Prince Khan, opened fire on the police vehicle. The police responded with precise retaliatory fire, resulting in Manjhi sustaining a gunshot wound to the leg. He was immediately taken into custody and transported to Asharfi Hospital for medical treatment under police guard. Authorities have cordoned off the area and initiated a thorough investigation. The incident highlights Dhanbad police's commitment to combating organized crime and pursuing wanted criminals with decisive action. A motorcycle and a weapon were recovered from the scene.
