Democratic dialogue urged as students demand transparent exam system in Jharkhand
Students across Jharkhand have rallied in Ranchi demanding a clear and fair examination framework, citing concerns over alleged irregularities in recent tests. While the protests have remained largely peaceful, the state's response has included baton charges and the arrest of several opposition legislators.
Raghubar Das stressed that dialogue, not force, is the appropriate tool for resolving such grievances. He urged the Hemant Soren administration to sit with student representatives, address their concerns about exam transparency, and ensure an unbiased investigation into any misconduct.
According to Das, the credibility of Jharkhand's education system hinges on the government's willingness to act responsibly. He warned that continued suppression could fuel further unrest and damage the state's reputation among prospective students and investors.
