Delhi Weather Remains Clear While Surrounding Regions Brace for Showers and Strong Winds

For 4 October, Delhi’s skyline will stay mostly free of clouds, with temperatures ranging between a high of 36 °C and a low of 23 °C. The city will also enjoy clear conditions on the following two days, before a brief spell of partial cloudiness arrives from 7 to 9 October.

Beyond the capital, the IMD has issued weather alerts for a broad belt of states. Uttar Pradesh faces moderate to heavy rainfall in districts including Gorakhpur, Siddharthnagar, Shravasti, Sitapur, Balrampur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mau, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Agra, Mathura, Meerut and Ghaziabad. Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab (seven districts), Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal also have warnings for rain and thunderstorms.

In the northeastern corridor, Assam and Meghalaya are likely to experience thunderstorms with rain, while Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura could see isolated storm activity. The southern coastal stretch—Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry—has been flagged for heavy rain in certain pockets.

The hill zones are not exempt: Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh districts (Kullu, Mandi, Kangra, Solan, Chamba, Hamirpur, Bilaspur) are under moderate rain and wind alerts, and Jammu & Kashmir expects heavy rain with strong gusts.

Officials advise residents across the warned zones to keep an eye on real‑time forecasts, avoid non‑essential travel during periods of high wind, and follow safety guidelines in case of sudden flooding.
