Crackdown on Unrecognized Schools in Jharkhand

Following a directive from the Jharkhand High Court, the state government has amended the Jharkhand Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules. The amendment mandates that all schools must obtain recognition. The Education Department has initiated preparations for this process. The department has stated that necessary technical modifications to the portal will be completed by September, and schools will be able to submit online applications starting in October.
