Ranchi – The High Court of Jharkhand ordered the West Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner and District Education Superintendent to expedite the handling of ninety inter‑district transfer applications submitted by teachers facing chronic disease or family health crises. Justice Deepak Roshan quashed the July 24, 2025 decision of the District Education Establishment Committee, which had rejected the petitions on the basis of a 51:1 student‑teacher ratio. All records must now be forwarded to the Director of Primary Education, who is required to verify each case against the transfer policy and issue appropriate orders within ten weeks.
