How a Child Trafficking Gang Lured Kids from Public Places

Police reports reveal that a criminal gang operating in Jharkhand targeted small children at busy transit hubs. The perpetrators approached youngsters with friendly gestures, coaxing them away from parents before whisking them to a concealed location in Sahibganj’s Tri‑Pahar area.

Once there, the children were forced to stand on street corners and solicit alms, often under the threat of violence. Authorities discovered that the same network also used the minors for other illicit activities, though the full extent remains under investigation. The recent rescue of a four‑year‑old boy has provided a critical lead to dismantle the operation.
