Chief Secretary Assesses Pilgrim Safety and Facilities Ahead of Massive Shravani Fair
During his brief visit to the pilgrimage hub of Devghar, Jharkhand’s Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar conducted a thorough review of the arrangements planned for the upcoming Shravani Mela 2026. Accompanied by senior officials, he inspected provisions for pilgrim comfort, security protocols, traffic flow, and medical readiness.
He issued directives to ensure that the influx of millions of devotees would face no inconvenience, urging all departments to coordinate closely and maintain smooth operations throughout the festival period. The chief secretary’s presence at the Baba Baidyanath Temple for a family worship session further highlighted his personal devotion and dedication to the spiritual heritage of the region.
In recognition of his participation, district officials presented him with sacred prasadam and a commemorative token. The commencement of the mela signals the start of a massive convergence of Kanwariyas, for which the administration has heightened its vigilance and resource allocation.
