Chief Minister summons protesters for talks before August 9 tribal celebrations

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accompanied by senior district officials, visited the protest site to invite the demonstrators for a direct dialogue. The administration offered to host a discussion at the chief minister's residence, emphasizing that the meeting would involve only the student representatives and not external political actors.

The protesters have demanded a two‑hour deliberation period to present their concerns, which include the cancellation of the 14th JPSC exam and a comprehensive overhaul of both the Jharkhand Public Service Commission and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission.
