CBI Probe Requests Dismissed as Ministers Cite Past Inaction

Minister Deepika Pandey Singh responded to calls for a CBI investigation into the student unrest. She stated that she is part of the negotiation team and the government aims to meet all student demands. Referring to CBI’s track record, she listed seventeen examinations examined by the agency since 2015, such as NEET‑UG 2024 and JEE Main 2021, and highlighted that none of these probes resulted in conclusive findings. Only a single conviction was recorded—in the 2017 Haryana Judicial Service case, which was adjudicated by a Delhi court based on a Chandigarh SIT report, not a CBI inquiry.
