Call for CBI probe into JPSC‑JSSC exams since 2014 amid leak allegations

The JPSC‑JSSC Reform Forum has formally requested that the Central Bureau of Investigation conduct a comprehensive probe into the integrity of JPSC and JSSC examinations dating back to 2014. The demand follows a series of student-led protests alleging paper leaks, OMR tampering, and transactional collusion in the recruitment process.

In the memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the forum outlines three core demands: the immediate cancellation of FIRs lodged against protestors, legal action against police officers and JMM workers accused of assault, and a CBI‑led high‑level investigation into alleged exam malpractices.

The forum emphasizes that repeated accusations over the years have eroded confidence in the state’s recruitment system. An independent, transparent investigation, it argues, is the only way to ascertain whether any illicit activities have taken place and to restore credibility.

The memorandum also invokes a Supreme Court ruling that mandates the withdrawal of FIRs filed during student movements, pressing the state to comply with that directive while a CBI team prepares to examine evidence from past examinations.
