Birsa Harit Gram scheme drives export of Jharkhand mangoes to UAE

A pilot batch of Amrapali mangoes cultivated under the Birsa Harit Gram scheme was sent to the United Arab Emirates this week. The two‑ton shipment, sourced from the Mohanpur Aajeevika Mahila Kisan Producer Society in Deoghar, travelled via the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society’s logistics network. The mangoes are now available for purchase at Lulu Mall in Dubai, joining earlier exports that reached London and Italy. The Rural Development Department praised the collaborative effort of women farmers, producer companies, and JSLPS for achieving the quality benchmarks required for international trade.
