Bihar Announces ₹50,000 Reward as Hunterganj Team Captures Fugitive
In a significant development for law‑enforcement agencies across two states, Bihar’s police have declared a cash reward of ₹50,000 for information that led to the arrest of Ram Bhajju Yadav. The suspect, wanted for more than fifteen serious crimes, was taken into custody by the Hunterganj police unit of Jharkhand’s Chatra district.
The operation unfolded after a secret informant alerted authorities that a stolen bolero, allegedly belonging to Yadav’s gang, was moving from Gopalpur, Bihar, via Saiyapur and Mayapur toward the bustling Jajlo market. A swift response team, commanded by Inspector Sandeep, blocked the vehicle near Mirpur cemetery, identified the driver as Yadav, and seized the vehicle with no valid registration.
Besides the bolero, officers recovered two mobile phones that may contain evidence of further illegal activities. Yadav, originally from Barachatti police station area in Gaya district, is now held in judicial custody pending trial.
The reward announcement underscores Bihar’s commitment to pursuing high‑profile criminals and encourages the public to assist in future investigations.
