Balvinder Singh arrested for killing fellow guard in Jharkhand

Balvinder Singh, a private security officer, has been placed under police custody following the fatal shooting of his colleague in Chatra district. The shooting occurred after a brief quarrel about khaini, a chewable tobacco product, turned deadly.

The victim, Atul Singh, hailed from Buxar, Bihar, and was also employed by the private security team of Vinod Yadav, the son of MLA Manorama Devi. Singh was shot at close range and died instantly.

Law enforcement officials arrested Singh on the spot, confiscated the firearm and the vehicle associated with the two guards, and are conducting a detailed interrogation. The forensic team has gathered ballistics and other material evidence to support the ongoing criminal inquiry.

The case is being treated with high priority, and further legal action will follow once the investigation concludes.
