Authorities in Ranchi have filed a formal complaint under the Arms Act after a 15‑year‑old was found with a desi katta and two live rounds in a house where a domestic dispute was being addressed. The minor confessed that he brought the weapon to intimidate his father, who he claimed repeatedly beat his mother. Police recovered the club, the ammunition and the boy's phone, and transferred him to a child correctional facility. Investigators are also tracing the supply chain of the weapons, which appears linked to a jailed family member.
