Ansari Claims Protest Was an Attempt on CM’s Life, Not a Peaceful Dharna

In a dramatic statement on August 11, Jharkhand’s Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari accused the BJP of orchestrating a violent plot aimed at the state’s Chief Minister. According to Ansari, the gathering of students over the JPSC and JSSC exams was not a simple dharna but a covert attempt on the CM’s safety.

“We do not trust bullets; we trust dialogue. The BJP has no moral right to engage in such subterfuge,” the minister said. He alleged that BJP supporters were positioned around the CM’s residence, ready to launch an attack.

Ansari condemned any use of lathi charge, insisting that the government would not tolerate such measures against the youth. He also emphasized that the state’s police had refrained from taking harsh action, showing restraint in the face of provocations.

The health minister highlighted the contrast with Delhi, where he claimed the BJP resorted to firing on demonstrators. He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to peaceful resolution and urged the identification of those who seek to destabilize the protest.

“Our government stands with the people, and we will win their hearts through genuine engagement,” Ansari concluded.
