Jharkhand Youth Await Fair Inquiry into Police Chief’s Alleged Interference

Students across Jharkhand have taken to social media demanding a transparent probe into the role of former Director General of Police Anurag Gupta in the JSSC‑CGL paper leak scandal. The controversy erupted after several candidates alleged that exam papers were accessed illegally before the official test date.

Babulal Marandi, a veteran BJP figure, has amplified these concerns, contending that Gupta’s actions may have skewed the investigation. He called on Chief Minister Hemant Soren to ensure that the CID’s findings are insulated from political pressure.

Marandi warned that ignoring the issue could erode trust among the state’s millions of job‑seeking youths. He appealed to the government to prioritize the future of these young people, stating that decisive action would send a clear message that tampering with the recruitment process will not be tolerated.

As the CID continues its work, the eyes of the state remain fixed on whether the inquiry will be allowed to proceed without interference.
