Jharkhand Prepares Hospitals for Potential H1N1 Cases

The Jharkhand health authority has ordered hospitals, including RIMS Ranchi and all medical college hospitals, to reserve ten extra beds for possible H1N1 patients. Facilities are required to maintain sufficient oxygen, essential drugs, testing capabilities, ICU and HDU readiness, and a roster of trained doctors and paramedical staff. The directive also calls for heightened vigilance at transport hubs such as airports, railway stations, and bus stands. Patients showing fever, cough, sore throat, cold or breathing difficulty are advised to seek medical evaluation, with influenza/H1N1 testing conducted as needed. The government urges the public to stay calm and remain vigilant.
