A devastating incident at Piplodi Primary School in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district resulted in the tragic deaths of at least four students on Friday, following the collapse of the school’s roof. Several other students sustained injuries in the incident. District officials, including Jhalawar Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Budania and the District Collector, immediately rushed to the scene to assess the situation and oversee rescue operations. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed his grief over the incident via social media. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his sadness, offering condolences to the affected families and assuring that all possible assistance is being provided. President Droupadi Murmu described the event as extremely tragic and extended her prayers for the injured and the bereaved families.
