JD(U) Leader Highlights Strategic Projects Alongside Amrit Bharat Stations
Patna, July 17 – JD(U) spokesperson Shyam Rajak used the inauguration of Amrit Bharat railway stations to draw attention to several other priority initiatives championed by the central government.
He remarked that Bihar’s historic lag in rail infrastructure has been a major barrier to investment, and the new stations are expected to reverse that trend. Rajak also addressed the controversy surrounding the Banakara Mosque in Kolkata, stating that he lacks complete details but believes security concerns should guide any decision about the structure.
Minister Dilip Jaiswal, speaking on related matters, pointed out that Punjab, once a leading state, has not kept pace with its growth potential and that the prime minister is focused on balanced development for all states. He reiterated the government's commitment to accelerate projects in Punjab as part of the same development drive.
On the Kishanganj airport, Jaiswal described the location as strategically vital, noting that land acquisition is underway under emergency provisions. The minister also defended the impartial handling of the Bharat Tiwari encounter case, warning against politicisation and promising legal action based on the judicial commission’s findings.
