Jarange Patil resumes medical care after call with ministers, but demands persist

After a midnight telephone discussion with Minister Uday Samant and BJP MLA Prasad Lad, Jarange Patil restarted his medical treatment. The activist, however, has not softened his primary demand for the enforcement of the Maratha reservation.

Vikhe Patil, addressing the media, acknowledged the activist’s right to protest but maintained that the government has fulfilled its promises to the community. He pointed to the historic record of 5.2  lakh applications received, of which 2.4  lakh are awaiting certificates pending lineage verification.

The minister also criticized former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, alleging that the reservation scheme stalled during Thackeray’s tenure, and urged Patil to understand the state’s continuous efforts.
