Cyber Investigation Targets Over 120 Profiles for Exposing Child Victims in Jamui

Following the surge of social‑media posts that revealed the identities of the minor victims, Jamui cyber police opened case number 45/2026 at the cyber police station. More than 120 online profiles were flagged for sharing or attempting to share personal details of the children involved.

Three users have already been arrested and are undergoing questioning. Police said that additional arrests will follow as evidence is gathered. The department urged the public not to circulate any material that could disclose a minor's identity, warning that such actions cause severe psychological and social harm to the victims.

The cyber cell is working in coordination with the SIT to ensure that digital evidence is preserved and that offenders are prosecuted under relevant cyber and child‑protection statutes.
