East Delhi’s Jagatpuri police station scored a major win against organized crime by apprehending two armed robbers wielding a sophisticated foreign pistol. The dramatic Friday evening chase ended with the recovery of a .32 bore Beretta and ammunition, unraveling a bizarre hypnosis-based theft racket.

Reliable intelligence tipped off patrolling officers about Inderjeet, a known felon, cruising in a white Hyundai Venue with illegal arms towards Pushta via Master Plan Road. Without wasting time, a dedicated squad laid an ambush at the strategic Drain Road junction.

As the car neared Kar Kari Mor at 6:35 PM, police signaled it to halt. The search uncovered the deadly weapon chambered with a live round in the driver’s possession, plus another cartridge on his companion, Rocky. Hailing from Ghaziabad, these repeat offenders have dark histories—Inderjeet with five cases and Rocky with three.

Interrogation exposed their hypnotic scams: targeting vulnerable pedestrians, they’d mesmerize them through sleight of hand and suggestion, stripping them of money and ornaments undetected. Such methods demand quick thinking from police to counter.

An FIR under Arms Act Section 25 was promptly registered as FIR 147/26. Further probes aim to dismantle their syndicate, trace fenced loot, and uncover arms suppliers. Kudos to the team—SI Jeet Pal, ASI Amit, ASI Satyapal, Constable Ankur Mann, and Constable Yatendra—for their precise execution, reinforcing Delhi’s fight against sophisticated underworld tactics.
