Jagan Reddy Calls Naidu’s Administration ‘Censorious’ Over DSC 2025 Allegations

Amaravati, September 5 – In a forceful statement on Saturday, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, head of the YSR Congress Party and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister, accused the present chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of imposing censorship on discussions about the District Selection Committee (DSC) 2025 recruitment controversy.

Reddy contended that the ruling TDP coalition is blocking social‑media accounts, removing posts and even geo‑blocking content that raises concerns about the alleged scam. He demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation carry out an unbiased investigation and called for education minister Nara Lokesh’s resignation.

According to the YSRCP chief, a steady stream of fresh documents and testimonies from various districts is revealing serious violations in the DSC hiring process. He criticized the state government for refusing a CBI probe and instead opting to silence critics.

He also alleged that Meta’s platforms—Facebook and Instagram—are being weaponised to suppress voices of opposition parties, media houses, social workers and citizens highlighting the scandal, with the tech giant citing "legal compliance" as justification.

Reddy warned that the alliance is targeting anyone who questions corruption, broken electoral promises, or alleged abuse of power. "When you cannot answer queries, you hush the questioners. This is not governance; it is censorship," he said, reaffirming the principle of free expression.

He concluded that no government has the authority to mute opposition, press, activists or ordinary people simply because their questions are politically inconvenient.
