ITRA and Heartfulness Institute Sign Five‑Year MoU to Boost Ayurvedic Research
In a parallel development, the National Institute of Ayurveda Education and Research (ITRA) in Jamnagar signed a five‑year Memorandum of Understanding with the Heartfulness Institute (HFI) located in Hyderabad’s Kanha Shanti Vana. The agreement, signed by ITRA Director Prof. Tanuja Nesari and HFI’s Kumar Kannan, aims to combine Ayurvedic education, clinical practice, and research with HFI’s expertise in meditation, yoga, lifestyle practices and environmental initiatives.
Key focus areas include joint national and international research projects, faculty and student exchange programmes, collaborative academic courses, knowledge sharing, capacity development, innovation, and intellectual‑property creation. The partnership is expected to advance preventive and holistic health care, aligning with the Ayush Ministry’s goals of evidence‑based research, quality education, and global promotion of Ayurveda.
