ISRO-developed ‘Nabhmitr’ app to provide live tracking and alerts for fishermen

The Indian Space Research Organisation has built the Nabhmitr mobile application in regional languages. Features include two‑way messaging, SOS signalling, periodic position updates, cyclone and weather warnings, a potential fishing zone advisory, navigational help, and an electronic token system for trip declaration. All data are transmitted through the VCSS backbone.
