ISMR roundtable in Singapore assesses six pillar initiatives

The fourth India‑Singapore Ministerial Roundtable convened in Singapore to review the six strategic pillars that underpin the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and State Minister Jitin Prasad presented progress reports on advanced manufacturing, connectivity, digitalisation, health, skill development and sustainability.

Representatives from both capitals agreed that the partnership has yielded tangible outcomes, such as joint research labs, digital payment bridges and skill exchange programmes. They also charted a roadmap for future initiatives, emphasizing clean energy projects, joint health‑tech ventures and enhanced logistics corridors connecting South Asia with Southeast Asia.

The roundtable concluded with a shared commitment to deepen economic ties and accelerate cooperation in high‑growth sectors.
