Drug bust at Iron Gate yields 28 g heroin, arrests suspect

Based on reliable tips about smuggling through the Iron Gate border post in Jakhawathar, Assam Rifles troops, coordinated with Mizoram police, carried out a targeted sweep. The team detained a drug courier and recovered 28 grams of heroin, a highly dangerous narcotic valued at approximately 5.6 lakh rupees. The individual and the contraband were transferred to Jakhawathar Police Station for legal action under the NDPS Act.
