Eligibility, Selection Process and Salary Details for IREL India Tradesman Trainee Jobs

Eligibility criteria for the Tradesman Trainee roles include a maximum age of 35 years as of 9 November 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories receive the standard age relaxation as per government norms.

The selection will be conducted in multiple stages: a computer‑based written test (CBT), followed by a trade‑specific skill test or computer proficiency exam, document verification, and a pre‑employment medical check. Shortlisted candidates will then be placed on a merit list.

Successful trainees will receive a stipend of INR 34,200 per month during the one‑year training period. Upon satisfactory completion of the training, the monthly salary will range between INR 22,000 and INR 88,000, depending on the trade and performance. Additional allowances and benefits, such as housing, medical, and transport, are also part of the compensation package.
