Investigation updates: digital evidence and alleged rehearsal in Ketan Agrawal killing
Detectives working on the Ketan Agrawal murder have disclosed that a substantial amount of digital evidence has been secured. Mobile phone metadata, location pings and messaging records link both Sia Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary to the area surrounding the crime scene on the night of the incident.
In addition to electronic data, police officials revealed that the suspects confessed to conducting a "murder rehearsal" at a hilltop in Lulla Nagar, close to a military zone. The rehearsal allegedly involved pushing a dummy from the elevation to test the lethality of a fall. After confirming the feasibility, the pair are accused of replicating the act on the steep slopes of Lohgarh Fort, resulting in Agrawal's death.
A full‑scale reconstruction of the incident was performed at the actual location with the accused present, allowing investigators to map each step of the alleged conspiracy. The findings will be presented to the court during the upcoming hearing, where further custodial measures and forensic examinations, including a proposed polygraph test, are likely to be discussed.
