Investigation Continues After Two Women Claim Unwanted Contact During Brazil Football Team’s Victory Party

After the Brazil national team’s friendly match in Kolkata ended with a 4‑0 triumph, the squad moved to a five‑star hotel to continue celebrations. During the early hours of Saturday, two women alleged that an unknown man made indecent advances towards them inside the hotel’s main lobby.

The victims lodged a written complaint at Pragati Maidan police station, prompting the authorities to register a case under several sections of the Indian Penal Code. Investigators immediately requested the hotel’s CCTV recordings, which later helped pinpoint the suspect.

The surveillance footage showed the accused entering and exiting the lobby repeatedly. After reviewing the images, the complainants themselves identified the individual. The police subsequently located the man in a hotel suite and placed him under arrest.

Further forensic analysis and witness statements are being collected to establish the full scope of the alleged misconduct.
