The sudden death of a government school teacher in Chatra district has prompted a full‑scale police inquiry. The body of Mukesh Yadav, a faculty member at the state higher secondary school in Pratappur, was discovered near the NH‑22 stretch adjacent to Ghungri village.

Following the discovery, residents staged a protest by blocking the highway, causing a traffic jam that extended for several hours and affected commuters traveling between Chatra and Gaya.

Police officials, including the local station in‑charge, engaged with the demonstrators, eventually clearing the road after extensive negotiations.
