Following a viral clip of a Sub‑Inspector from Narsingi allowing his six‑year‑old granddaughter to drive a car on a busy road, the Telangana DGP has ordered a full departmental investigation. The officer was placed on suspension by directive of DGP C.V. Anand, who also asked the Cyberabad Police Commissioner to file a disciplinary case. The incident, which drew sharp criticism from the public, led authorities to register charges under Section 125 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 184 and 180 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The probe is underway to determine further liability.
