Investigation Focuses on Scorpion and Thar Vehicles

Investigators have zeroed in on a fleet of Scorpion and Mahindra Thar SUVs seen at Emiti University on the day of the kidnapping. Police say three to four such vehicles stopped near the gate, confronted the student and forced him into one of them. Forensic teams are extracting number‑plate data from campus surveillance and setting up checkpoints on major highways leaving Ranchi. The MLA confirmed his son’s own Thar was found parked outside the gate after the incident.
