Investigation underway into possible robbery or personal feud in Muzaffarpur murders

The Muzaffarpur police have confirmed that all angles are being explored in the homicide of a retired bank employee and his wife. The family members were attacked inside their home in the Rambag locality on Monday evening.

Initial forensic reports indicate that the male victim suffered fatal knife wounds, while the female victim appears to have been restrained before being suffocated. The exact sequence of events will be clarified after the autopsy.

The crime was reported when the victims’ son noticed a malfunctioning CCTV camera and, after failing to reach his parents, contacted a neighbour. The neighbour discovered the bodies and alerted authorities.

Investigators are collecting DNA, fingerprints, and other scientific evidence, while also reviewing CCTV recordings from the vicinity. Motives under consideration include a possible robbery, an ongoing personal dispute, or other undisclosed reasons.
