The Meerut police investigation has revealed that the death of a doctor was not a suicide but a premeditated murder. The victim’s husband had died a year earlier, leaving her as the sole provider for her child. She was employed at the clinic where a staff member, Suresh, had been in a clandestine relationship with a nurse for months. When the nurse complained of weakness, she was escorted to the operation theatre under the pretext of a drip setup. A poisonous chemical was added to the drip, causing rapid death.
