Investigation launched after deadly Kudi‑area road accident in Rajasthan

Rajasthan's Balotra district saw a tragic road mishap on the Jodhpur National Highway near Kudi, leaving five dead and three injured. The crash involved a Scorpion bus that was hit head‑on by an unknown vehicle, resulting in the bus being completely destroyed.

Local inhabitants and commuters initiated rescue operations before official teams arrived. Victims were transported in private ambulances to Rajyik Nahata Hospital, where five deaths were officially recorded. The three seriously hurt patients received critical care before being transferred to a larger facility in Jodhpur.

Law enforcement officials have seized the scene for evidence, removed the wreckage, and restored normal traffic. A formal case has been filed, and detectives are analysing CCTV recordings to trace the unidentified vehicle's identity. Speeding and driver carelessness are currently being examined as possible causes, pending the final report.

Police leadership is warning drivers to maintain caution, obey speed limits, and follow all road safety guidelines.
