Investigation into Twisha Sharma Murder: CBI Findings

The charge sheet details a series of events leading up to Twisha’s death. After learning of her pregnancy on April 16, she argued with Samarth and left the marital home on April 17. On May 6 she consented to return to her previous job and took the first dose of medication to terminate the pregnancy. The next day she informed her mother that she wanted to be taken out of the in‑laws’ house. Giribala allegedly tried to find out whether the abortion could be reversed; Twisha visited a hospital on May 7, where doctors said reversal was impossible. Twisha later told her sister‑in‑law that Giribala had called her a “killer” three times over the abortion. On May 8 she took a second dose, suffered severe pain and bleeding, and claimed Samarth dismissed her suffering as “drama.” By May 9 she expressed feelings of suffocation and discussed the possibility of death with her mother. Her former boss, Amit Das, told investigators that Twisha complained of constant surveillance and interference with her phone calls.
