Investigation Launched After Fire Devastates Tata Motors Service Yard

Ranchi's Tata Motors authorised service centre suffered a massive fire on Sunday, prompting an immediate investigation by local authorities. The fire, which started in the open yard of the workshop, rapidly spread to a line of parked vehicles, leaving them heavily damaged.

Firefighters arrived swiftly after the incident was reported, battling the blaze for over an hour before gaining control. Despite their efforts, many cars were destroyed, and there are concerns that the centre's tools and equipment may also have been compromised.

Preliminary reports suggest a short‑circuit could be the trigger, but investigators are examining all possibilities, including potential negligence in electrical maintenance. The centre is run by Basudev Motor Company and will stay non‑operational until a comprehensive safety audit is completed.
