Investigation Finds Accusations Unfounded, Arrests Made in June 2026 Assault

An internal investigation conducted by the Delhi Police has concluded that the allegations posted on social media regarding misconduct by officers from Samaypur Badli police station are baseless. The investigation, which examined statements, video footage, and forensic evidence, determined that the claims could not be substantiated under existing law.

The case originated from an alleged physical attack that took place on 10 June 2026. A First Information Report (FIR) was filed at the Samaypur Badli police station, and four individuals—Sachin, Jeetu, Bharat and Chintaa Devi—were named as suspects. All of them applied for anticipatory bail, a request that the judiciary rejected after reviewing the circumstances of the case.

Following the court’s denial, police acted swiftly to apprehend Jeetu, while the other three suspects remain at large, prompting ongoing search efforts. A woman who posted the allegations online was identified as the sister of Sachin and Bharat. Intelligence suggested that the fugitives could be hidden in a residential dwelling. Police dispatched a team to the location, found the premises empty, and subsequently served a legal notice under Section 35(3) of the Indian Citizens’ Security Code to the occupants of that house.

Delhi Police emphasized that there is no evidence indicating any officer forced entry into a private residence. Additionally, accusations of harassing language, intimidation, or indecent conduct have been examined and found lacking credible evidence. The department reaffirmed that all measures taken were consistent with statutory requirements and that the force remains committed to transparent and lawful conduct.
